Texas Cottage Food Law provides a pathway for you to turn your culinary passion into a business without the overhead of a commercial kitchen. This comprehensive class will guide you through the essentials of Texas Cottage Food Law, ensuring you understand the legal requirements, food safety protocols, and business practices needed to succeed.
Presenter Sonja Stueart-Davis
Dr. Sonja Stueart-Davis obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics and Master of Science in Human Sciences from Prairie View A&M University. In 2011 she completed a Doctorate in Education from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
She has over 27 years of experience planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for youth and adult audiences with both the Prairie View A&M University-Cooperative Extension Program and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
In her current role as a Family & Community Health agent, she implements educational programs related to the prevention and management of chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, obesity), balance and strength training to reduce falls, food preservation, health and wellness. She also coordinates the Walk Across Texas Program, early childhood educator trainings, and works with Master Wellness Volunteers
If you cannot attend the class as scheduled, there are no refunds or substitutions.
Registration will close 24 hours prior to most classes and 48 hours before all Sunday classes.
