Regenerative Agriculture is the next step in organics; mimicking nature's soil building, pest & disease management. It is treating the land as a whole environment. This is an interactive workshop! Carol Burton will begin the presentation through a guided tour of holistic regenerative practices.
Followed by Requesia Jenkins who will guide us in low-cost solutions to increase soil fertility through the creation of Jadam Microbial Solutions! Creating your own microbial solutions and soil amendments, will increase your plants resilience. It will meet the stresses of summer heat & drought with fewer losses. These practices would result in fewer pest and disease issues and would be more productive with less work in the long run. This class will teach you how to apply regenerative farming techniques in the urban landscape on a manageable scale. Participants will receive samples and recipes to utilize in their gardens.
This class takes place outdoors in the picnic table area of the Bauer Education Center at Trees for Houston new Kinder Campus. (Houston, Oak Forest)
