Fruit Tree Pruning in the Food Forest

This is a hands-on permaculture skill share class in pruning fruit trees! Carol Burton will guide participants through the basics of pruning fruit trees, then students will work in small groups in pruning fruit trees in the school food forest garden. Basics pruning tools, when to prune and how to prune will be covered. The layout and design of the garden is based on permaculture principals of a wholistic design process as a whole ecosystem of forest, rain gardens and groundcovers to support the fruit bearing trees. All tools are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hand pruners, if available.
