If all else fails, learn tips and tricks for organic and natural pest control in your urban garden. Natural pest control is rooted in ecological principles in nature such as, best strategies in cultivating a vibrant garden resistant to pests, who are the ‘bad guys; of insects and planning for easy to grow plants to attract the ‘good guys’ or beneficial insects to do the work for you! Our garden expert will share from a wealth of knowledge in gardening for all types of gardens and gardening experience, from new gardeners to intermediate and even advanced gardeners will learn something new!
PRESENTER:
Angela Chandler is a lifelong gardener and enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion with others. She and her husband tend a 1/2-acre micro-homestead, growing vegetables, fruits, herbs, and bee-friendly plants. Angela is currently a member of the Garden Writers Association, the California Rare Fruit Growers Association, and the Louisiana Society for Horticultural Research, as well as being a retired Texas Master Gardener. She has written feature articles in gardening magazines, appeared as a guest on both TV & Radio shows, spoken around the country at various events, and currently teaches a monthly class for the Urban Harvest/Houston Museum of Natural Science. Her website, The Garden Academy, provides its readers with a variety of gardening information geared specifically towards Gulf Coast gardens.
If you cannot attend the class as scheduled, there are no refunds or substitutions.
Registration will close 24 hours prior to most classes and 48 hours before all Sunday classes. When available, Class recordings will be shared after the class.
