Growing annual cut flowers requires us to adapt our planting seasons so that they can flourish in this climate. This class will lay out the specifics for growing cut flowers that are started in the fall and overwintered for early spring blooms—from sourcing seeds to seed starting, from bed preparation to transplanting, from pinching to harvesting to conditioning.
Presenters:Tamika Caston-Miller is an international yoga educator, executive coach, and entrepreneur living the life of urban farmer and conscious community builder in Houston, Texas. She curates accessible and inclusive yoga practices and philosophy in service to collective healing and community repair through the lens of rest, resilience, and integration. Tamika is founder of The Ranch Houston where they maintain a beautiful flower farm and specialize in cut flower arrangements.
