Presenters:LaShan Arceneaux is a lifelong gardener and the farmer florist at Saturday Bouquet, a micro flower and herb farm. Her specialties are zinnia breeding and the business side of farming. Some of her earliest memories are playing in the dirt and picking flowers.
AJ Beard spent most of her professional career helping global companies transform their operations and technology strategies as a consultant. Now she’s applying that same experience to sustainability and agriculture — working on ways to make food systems more resilient and help organizations balance growth with environmental responsibility. She loves working hands on in the soil with growers and teaching what she learns in field and classroom. AJ is a Houston Native and lives and works with her husband and two children in between Houston and Smithville, TX.
