Please join us for a fun, educational, and enlightening class celebrating Black History Month. We will share cultural traditions and the rich history of common fruits and vegetables that have been historically planted in African American gardens. We'll look at past and current farmland and the many historic cuisines often served within the African American culture. This class will be held in partnership with Harlem River Farms and University of Houston
PRESENTER:
A University of Houston graduate with over 30 years of gardening experience, Tim Hammond specializes in urban and small space food growing. He founded a hydroponics store and created Big City Gardener, sharing practical tips and teaching others how to grow food on Instagram.
