  • Attendees will learn that each individual, by making small changes, can have an huge impact on the environment. We will learn how easy it is to turn many materials that currently go to landfills into a rich soil amendment. Each will leave with everything they need to know in order to be able to start composting at home!

    PRESENTER:
Robin is a retired physician assistant, who worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center for 20 years, managing pain for those being treated for cancer. During retirement and through the pandemic, he found healing gardening with plants native to the Texas Gulf Coast ecosystem. Since 2021, he has volunteered with Harris County Master Gardeners, developing a native plant landscaping bed at their Genoa Friendship Gardens demonstration garden. He is advance trained in composting and entomology. Robin is a member of the Native Plant Society of Texas and is an instructor for the Native Plant Landscaping Certification Course. He enjoys speaking regularly on native plants, composting, and other gardening topics of interest to the citizens of Harris County and teaching master gardener interns. When not gardening, he enjoys spending time with his wife, roasting coffee, and riding his motorcycles.
