Urban Harvest x E3Cre8tions, LLC present: Permaculture in the Digital Spotlight!
Permaculture in the Digital Spotlight is a four-part, in-person series designed for garden educators and permaculture practitioners who are ready to extend their teaching beyond the garden gate. Whether you’re leading workshops, managing a community space, or mentoring growers, this series will help you thoughtfully expand your presence through social media, YouTube, newsletters, online coaching, and other digital tools.

Together, we’ll explore how to translate hands-on, place-based learning into clear, engaging digital content that reaches new audiences without losing depth or integrity. Through guided reflection, peer feedback, and practical exercises, participants will refine their message, clarify their offerings, and practice sharing their work online in ways that are accessible, aligned, and impactful.

    Each session builds practical skills:

Session 1: Why digital presence matters + choosing the right platforms

Session 2: Clarifying your brand voice, tone, and story telling

Session 3: Technical skills for recording quality photo and video content

Session 4: Showcase night—share your “About Me” post and a 30-second teaching video. One participant will receive a media kit (microphones + tripod).

Participants will leave with clearer messaging, stronger technical confidence, and ready-to-share content that makes permaculture education more accessible and impactful.

The format is HYBRED- ZOOM AND IN PERSON! All participants will receive a recording of the session afterward.

    Presenter
Vivianna Alvarez (they/them) is a Permaculture Design Teacher Certified graduate and a digital marketing enthusiast with a background in Higher Education, community engagement, and digital media strategy.

While Vivianna enjoys spending time outdoors tending to the land, they consider themselves newer to the gardening landscape. Their work lives at the intersection of learning, storytelling, and accessibility. With years of experience in education and digital marketing, Vivianna is passionate about making gardening and permaculture more approachable for everyday people—especially those with short attention spans, busy lives, and a love for digital media.

Their hope is to help bridge the gap between permaculture enthusiasts who hold a wealth of knowledge and the wider public eager to learn by supporting practitioners in sharing their work in tangible, digestible, and meaningful ways online.
